Prabowo Welcomes SBY with Family During Halalbihalal at the Palace

President Prabowo Subianto welcomed the arrival of the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and his family at the Merdeka Palace/ANTARA/HO-BPMI Presidential Secretariat.

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto welcomed the arrival of the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) who visited the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, for a halalbihalal in the context of Eid al-Fitr 1 Syawal 1447 Hijriah.

SBY was also accompanied by his eldest son, Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), his youngest son, Deputy Chairman of the MPR RI Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono (Ibas) as well as other family members.

Furthermore, President Prabowo greeted SBY. The President also shook hands with AHY, followed by AHY's wife and children, and the President continued to shake hands with Ibas and his family.

President Prabowo then walked side by side with SBY while chatting briefly. Right at the entrance to the Palace, there was Prabowo's puppet son, Didit Hediprasetyo, who immediately greeted SBY, AHY, and other family members.

Reported by ANTARA, Saturday, March 21, in the Merdeka Palace, SBY's family entourage met with Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka and his wife, Selvi Ananda, and the two families also greeted each other.

After that, President Prabowo, SBY and his family, and Vice President Gibran entered the room.

The halalbihalal between Prabowo and SBY took place in private.

In the same series, President Prabowo also met with the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and his family at the Merdeka Palace. The meeting was also closed.

President Prabowo opened the doors of the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Saturday, from noon to evening for a griya (open house) and halalbihalal event with the community and a number of state officials.

Before meeting with officials and former presidents, President Prabowo first met the public and greeted residents who had crowded the palace since Saturday morning. At least, there were 4,000-5,000 people from the general public who attended the griya title event at Merdeka Palace today.

The title of the griya at the Presidential Palace during Eid al-Fitr is a routine agenda held every year during President Prabowo's term of office. During the Eid al-Fitr celebration, the Presidential Palace is open to the general public.

Residents who came to halalbihalal with the President entered from the back door of the State Palace, then walked into the central courtyard area of the Presidential Palace.

Various typical Lebaran dishes, such as ketupat and opor, then empal gentong, and meatballs are served for people who attend the title of the griya event at the Palace.

The halalbihalal and the griya title event at the Palace were then closed on Saturday evening at around 18.00 WIB.
