Prabowo Scheduled to Meet Jokowi and SBY at the Palace

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to receive a visit from former presidents at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, this afternoon.

The Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said based on the latest information received, the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) are planned to attend the meeting.

"There is information that we have just received regarding the presence of President SBY and President Jokowi, but the exact time we will confirm again. But, God willing," said Prasetyo at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Saturday.

However, Prasetyo has not been able to confirm the presence of the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia Megawati Soekarnoputri in today's agenda.

He stated that there was no information about Megawati's presence for the time being.

Previously, Prabowo had first held a meeting with Megawati at the Merdeka Palace a few days ago.

During the meeting which lasted about two hours, the two discussed various strategic issues and exchanged views.

Prasetyo explained that the discussion between Prabowo and Megawati included various leadership experiences, including challenges in each era of different governments. In addition, geopolitical issues were also part of the discussion.

"We all know that in every era, in every era, there are different challenges. But, as a leader, it is certainly good to be able to give each other input and share experiences for the progress of our nation and country," said Prasetyo.
