DEPOK - Defending the country does not always have to be done with big things. Sometimes, it comes through simple actions: helping to relieve the burden of others. Something small, but touching the lives of others. It is this spirit that is carried out by the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Education and Training Center (Pusdiklat APU-PPT), the Financial Transaction Reporting and Analysis Center (PPATK) and the Board of Directors of Dharma Wanita PPATK.
In the atmosphere of Ramadan, a bazaar for clothing and food needs at affordable prices was held, while distributing funds and basic necessities to the community around Cimpaeun Village, Tapos District, Depok City, West Java, on Tuesday-Wednesday, March 10-11, 2026.
The simple bazaar turned into a space of happiness for residents. Mrs. Rani (56), a resident of Cimpaeun who lives not far from the Pusdiklat complex, admitted that she always waits for this activity every Ramadan. With a cheerful face, she showed some items she had just bought. "Alhamdulillah, I can get clothes, pants, and toys for my grandchildren at this bazaar. The price is very cheap. I always wait for activities like this every Ramadan," said Rani, a housewife with three children and four grandchildren.
In another corner of the bazaar, two mothers were busy sorting out kebaya, children's clothes, and shoes neatly arranged on the table. The atmosphere became warm when one of them suddenly approached Ibu Endah Ivan Yustiavandan, the Head of the PPATK Dharma Wanita. "Bu, sekalian bayarin ya..." he whispered while laughing. Endah smiled, then took the two of them to the cashier's desk to pay for their purchases, which were worth less than two hundred thousand rupiah. "Wow, the mothers won a lot. They bought it cheaply, they paid again," joked the cashier, who was greeted with laughter from the residents around the payment table.
Head of APU-PPT Training Center, Akhyar Effendi, admitted that he was happy to see the enthusiasm of the people who came since morning. Residents seemed busy choosing clothes, shoes, and various family needs with a face full of joy.
"This bazaar is a social action and a form of national pride in a simple way. We want to get closer to our brothers and sisters who live around the Training Center," said Akhyar. He added, for almost nine years the APU-PPT Training Center has stood in the area, the relationship with the surrounding community has been very good. "For nine years we have been here, there has never been any disturbance. The community feels that they own and maintain the existence of the Training Center as a national asset. It is also a real form of national pride from the people," he said.
In the midst of the hustle and bustle of the Ramadan bazaar, a simple message feels strong: maintaining the country is not always through big actions. Sometimes it's enough to care for each other, help each other, and make sure no neighbor feels alone in facing difficulties. And in Cimpaeon, that day, the country's defense came in the warmest form - the smiles of residents who returned home with hope.
