PM Li conveyed this to 2,773 NPC members and 2,078 members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) who were holding a "Two Sessions" parliamentary session from March 4-12, 2026.
"We will encourage exchanges, cooperation, and integrated development on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. People on both sides of the strait are also expected to work together to inherit and preserve Chinese culture," said PM Li.
Li also said the Chinese government would implement policies designed to ensure equal treatment for the people of Taiwan so as to improve the well-being of people on both sides of the strait.
"By working together, all people will realize the great goal of the nation's revival," added PM Li.
The session also officially launched China's 15th Five-Year Development Plan (2026-2030) containing China's economic, social, technological, security, and national development policy directions for the next five years.
