BANDA ACEH - The Aceh Regional Office of the Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Law (Kemenkum) invites micro and small business actors (UMK) to upgrade by establishing a limited liability company (PT) which can be created only with a registration fee of Rp. 50 thousand.
Head of the Aceh Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Meurah Budiman, said that individual companies were a solution for UMK actors who wanted to develop their businesses legally, easily, and affordably.
"With a registration capital of Rp. 50 thousand, business actors can already have an official legal entity from the state, namely a sole proprietorship. The process is fast and can be done online or online," said Meurah Budiman in Banda Aceh, Antara, Thursday, March 5.
PT perorangan is a legal entity that can be established by one person without a notary deed. Registration is carried out through the General Legal Administration (AHU) system owned by the Ministry of Law of the Republic of Indonesia online. According to Meurah Budiman, the individual PT scheme was presented by the government to provide legal certainty while opening wider access to financing for small business actors.
Individual companies, he said, also separate personal wealth and business wealth, so that business risks do not directly burden the personal assets of the owner.
"With the legal status, business actors are considered more credible in the eyes of banks and investors. We continue to encourage business actors to register their business so that they have a legal entity," he said.
The Aceh Ministry of Law and Human Rights considers that there are still many UMK actors who have not taken advantage of this facility. In fact, business legality is the main requirement for accessing financing from banks, following the procurement of goods and services from the government, to expanding the market.
