President Prabowo Discusses Iran Conflict to Board of Peace at National Dinner

Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto invited former presidents and vice presidents as well as national figures to discuss global geopolitical developments, including the situation of the Middle East conflict as well as Indonesia's readiness to anticipate various risks that may arise, at the State Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday, March 3.

Also present at the meeting were the chairmen of political parties, including the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, the Chairman of PAN, Zulkifli Hasan, the President of the PKS, Al Muzzammil Yusuf, and the Chairman of the Golkar Party, Bahlil Lahadalia.

Bahlil said Prabowo in the meeting explained the latest geopolitical developments and the government's anticipatory steps in facing potential impacts of conflicts, especially related to the energy sector and national stability.

According to him, this step was taken by Prabowo to ensure that Indonesia is able to anticipate global impacts in order to maintain security and national interests. In line with this, PKS President Al Muzzammil Yusuf conveyed that Prabowo also touched on Indonesia's readiness to face potential crises, including food security, energy, and the importance of the solidity of the national elite.

Apart from the conflict between Iran and Israel and the United States, Muzzammil said Prabowo also explained the developments related to the Board of Peace. In the discussion, Prabowo was said to have conveyed that the Board of Peace might not be the ideal choice, but was considered the most realistic option to promote long-term peace in Palestine.
