SBY, Jokowi to Jusuf Kalla to the Palace to Fulfill Prabowo's Invitation

JAKARTA - The 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to the 10th and 12th Vice President Jusuf Kalla arrived at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday evening to fulfill President Prabowo Subianto's invitation.

Based on ANTARA's monitoring, the Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi and the Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya welcomed the arrival of the former Presidents and Vice Presidents at the right porch of the Merdeka Palace.

Jusuf Kalla arrived at around 19.00 WIB, followed by the 13th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Ma'ruf Amin who arrived at around 19.10 WIB. Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka wearing brown batik arrived next at around 19.15 WIB.

Meanwhile, Jokowi arrived at Istana Merdeka at 19.20 WIB. Wearing brown batik and a black turban, Jokowi was greeted directly by Mensesneg Prasetyo and Seskab Teddy. Jokowi waved to reporters.

Meanwhile, SBY arrived at the Merdeka Palace at 19.24. SBY's arrival, wearing a blue-colored shirt, was greeted directly by President Prabowo. SBY and Prabowo then entered the Merdeka Palace.

Finally, the 11th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Boediono arrived at the Merdeka Palace at 19.27 WIB. Boediono briefly greeted reporters who asked about the news.

"Good, good," said Boediono.

Seskab Teddy said President Prabowo invited former presidents and vice presidents to Istana Merdeka to socialize and exchange views.

"This evening the President invited all former presidents and vice presidents and former foreign ministers, including the chairmen of political parties in Parliament. Then, thank God, almost all the participants for the discussion, socializing, exchanging views, the President wants to exchange views with these figures," said Teddy.

Teddy said the meeting was also attended by the chairmen of political parties. A number of party leaders who attended, including the Chairman of the Golkar Party, Bahlil Lahadalia, the Chairman of the National Awakening Party, Muhaimin Iskandar, the Chairman of the National Mandate Party, Zulkifli Hasan, the Chairman of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyonoserta the Chairman of the DPP PDI Perjuangan Puan Maharani.
