JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Wibi Andrino highlighted the slow recovery of road surfaces in the Jakarta Sewerage Development Project (JSDP) which is part of the National Strategic Project (PSN).

"This JSDP is a big project, the goal is good for the future of Jakarta sanitation. But don't let a national strategic project become a source of permanent congestion because the hole is not immediately closed," Wibi told reporters, Tuesday, March 3.

"At the Besi Bridge, especially on the busway line, it has been almost two years that it has not been completed. This is no longer a normal technical obstacle. This is about project control. I have even reported this before, but until now there has been no clear solution," he said.

"PSN does not mean it is immune from evaluation. In fact, because this is a strategic project, supervision must be more stringent. We don't want a good long-term project, damaged its image because of weak governance in the field," he said.
The DKI DPRD, he continued, will ask for an official explanation from the relevant service regarding the points of excavation that have not been restored, including in the Besi Bridge area. He also asked for a clear and transparent completion timeline so that the public knows the certainty of the repair.
"Jakarta must be a well-organized city. Not a city that is bent and left. Residents have the right to a safe and smooth road," he said.
