JAKARTA - President Donald Trump said that retaliation for the attack on the US Embassy in Riyadh, as well as for the death of US military personnel during the conflict with Iran, would be revealed soon.

President Trump made the statement in a telephone conversation with NewsNation reporter Kellie Meyer, who later described the conversation in a post on X.

"In his first reaction to the attack on the US Embassy in Riyadh, President Trump told me, 'You will soon know,' what the retaliation is," Meyer wrote on X, as reported by Al Arabiya.

President Trump's comments came after the Saudi Ministry of Defense said the US embassy in Riyadh had been targeted by two drones.

The attack caused limited fires and minor damage to buildings, the ministry said on X.

It is known that the US and Iran held "Operation Epic Furry" version of Washington or "Operation Roaring Lion" version of Tel Aviv on Saturday, quoted from ABC.

The attack left hundreds of people dead in Iran, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and a number of senior Tehran officials.

The Mullah's country then responded to the attack by launching a wave of Israeli missiles and drones, US military bases in the Gulf region and British military bases in Cyprus.

Citing CBS News, the US military on Monday said the death toll of its soldiers in the latest conflict with Iran had reached six.
