Beware! Rain and Lightning Intai Jabodetabek Throughout Today

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) urges the public to be aware of the potential for rain that may be accompanied by lightning or thunder and strong winds in parts of Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) on Monday, March 2.

BMKG Praktirawan Sufia Nur melaporkan bahwa potensi hujan ringan hingga sedang diprakirakan terjadi di sejumlah wilayah pada periode 24 jam ke depan.

"In the morning from 07.00-13.00 WIB, the weather in Jabodetabek is generally cloudy to cloudy with the potential for light rain in most areas," said Sufia as quoted by Antara.

Then, entering the afternoon until the afternoon at 13.00-19.00 WIB, cloudy to cloudy conditions still dominate.

Light rain is potentially occurring in most areas, while light to moderate rain is expected to fall in some areas of East Jakarta, South Jakarta, Tangerang Regency, and South Tangerang City.

According to the BMKG forecast, at night from 19.00-01.00 WIB, the weather is generally cloudy to cloudy with heavy clouds accompanied by the potential for strong winds in all areas of Jabodetabek. The surface wind blows from the southwest to the west with a speed of 5-45 kilometers per hour.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday (3/3) early morning at 01.00-07.00 WIB, light rain is potentially occurring in some areas of the Thousand Islands, North Jakarta, and Bogor Regency, with the general condition still cloudy to cloudy.

BMKG recorded air temperatures in Bogor City and Bogor Regency ranging from 20-28 degrees Celsius, while other areas in Jabodetabek were in the range of 24-30 degrees Celsius with air humidity of 70-90 percent.
