JAKARTA - The government held a meeting of the Steering Team of the Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Task Force in Sumatra which established the Master Plan (Renduk) for the Acceleration of Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (PRRP) as a strategic document that will become the basis for allocating the budget.

Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Pratikno emphasized that the determination of the Renduk Version I was urgent considering the need for accelerated rehabilitation and reconstruction in the field.

"Given the insistence on the need for Renduk, we know that this document still has many records and needs to be updated with new data and joint verification. But for the sake of budget allocation, we propose to the Task Force Steering Team that we confirm this version 1 of Renduk," said Pratikno as reported by ANTARA, Friday, February 27.

The document that was determined was the Renduk version 1 which was compiled based on the proposal of ministries/institutions and local governments until February 9, 2026.

For improvement, ministries/institutions and local governments are still given time until the end of March 2026 to submit additional proposals, before being designated as the final version of Renduk in April 2026.

Pratikno conveyed that the dynamics of the field conditions that are still developing caused the need for rehabilitation and reconstruction programs to continue to increase. Several areas that had previously started to recover were affected by disasters, so that they needed to adjust interventions.

He asked all ministries/institutions and local governments to immediately follow up on the Renduk version I, so that the allocation of the budget could be implemented immediately.

"It's not just a matter of data, but also methodology so that there is unity of language between ministries/institutions and local governments. We are both committed to carrying out the President's instructions to complete this rehab and reconstruction as soon as possible," he said.

During the meeting, it was agreed that the Renduk PRRP Sumatra version 1 with a budget requirement of Rp. 56.3 trillion can serve as a reference for ministries/institutions to propose the Additional Budget (ABT) to the Ministry of Finance as the initial stage of rehabilitation and reconstruction in the 2026 Fiscal Year.

In addition, it was also agreed that the implementation of rehabilitation and reconstruction was targeted to be completed within three years.

The meeting also discussed a number of acceleration steps, including the possibility of implementing contracts from the beginning of the emergency response period for the recovery of vital facilities and infrastructure, so that the transition from emergency handling to rehabilitation can run without interruption.

The utilization of the Disaster-prone Zone Map (ZRB) by ministries/institutions and local governments is also an important concern to ensure that reconstruction is carried out to avoid disaster-prone zones.

In the future, the final version of the Renduk PRRP Sumatra, which will be determined in April 2026, is proposed to have the same legal force as the Presidential Regulation to strengthen the certainty of implementation and cross-sector coordination.

The Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture also asked all ministries/institutions and local governments to immediately follow up on the agreement and submit additional proposals in writing to the Ministry of PPN/Bappenas to be integrated into the final document.

Through the establishment of this version of Renduk I, the government emphasizes that the acceleration of post-disaster recovery is not only to rebuild infrastructure and basic services, but also to ensure that the affected areas will rise stronger and more resilient in the future.
