Bripda MS who served as the Brigadier of Company 1 Battalion C Pioneer of the Maluku Regional Police Brimob Unit underwent a closed ethical trial, except for the opening session and reading of the verdict.
He explained that the mechanism for the Code of Ethics for the Indonesian National Police regulates the process of examining witnesses and suspected violators in a closed manner to maintain objectivity.
In the trial, as many as 10 witnesses attended and were directly examined by the trial commission. Of that number, nine were members of Brimob and one witness was the victim's brother.
In addition, four other witnesses gave testimony online to the commission, one each from the Satlantas personnel of the Tual Police, two members of the PPA Unit of the Tual Police, and one from the victim's family.
The trial was also supervised by internal supervisors as well as external supervisory elements, namely the Head of the Secretariat of the Maluku Human Rights Commission, the Head of the PPA Maluku UPTD, and the Director of the Lingkar Perlindungan Perempuan dan Anak Foundation.

Meanwhile, the plaintiffs in the trial were Ipda Jhon James Lole and Aiptu Eduard J. Linansera.
This case is a follow-up to the alleged persecution of a 14-year-old student from Tual City, Arianto Tawakal, who died on Thursday (19/2/2026).
Previously, the Tual Police named Bripda MS as a suspect on February 21, 2026.
Maluku Regional Police Chief Dadang Hartanto emphasized that strict sanctions would be imposed if proven to be in violation, with the threat of Dismissal Without Honor (PTDH) in accordance with applicable regulations.
He also apologized to the victim's family and the Maluku community for the incident.
The criminal process against the suspect is still handled by the Tual Police and runs parallel to the code of ethics trial process at the Maluku Police. Until this news was published, the trial of the National Police Code of Ethics Commission against Bripda MS is still ongoing.
