JAKARTA - Chairman of the Gerindra Party, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, emphasized that the 2029 Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections (Pilpres) were still far away, and invited all parties to work first for the people.

"It's still a long time (2029 presidential election). We are working first. We are working first for the people, yes," said Dasco when responding to the issue of the 2029 presidential and vice presidential candidates, after attending the 18th anniversary of the Gerindra Party, Friday, February 6.

He said politics are dynamic. President Prabowo Subianto, who is also the Chairman of the Gerindra Party, he said, also said he would decide on the 2029 presidential election after seeing success in this period.

According to him, the success of the program carried out in the first period will have an impact. For this reason, he will also first look at the political conditions in the future.

"Then later we will see the level of public satisfaction with the program," said the Deputy Speaker of the DPR.

Currently, he said the Gerindra Party is determined to continue to be close and move among the people, as well as socialize and implement programs from President Prabowo that are made for the welfare of the people.
