JAKARTA - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka reviewed The 26th Jakarta International Handicraft Trade Fair (INACRAFT) 2026 which was held at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC), Jakarta.

As reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 4, this review is a manifestation of the government's commitment in encouraging micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to upgrade and be able to penetrate the global market through strengthening the quality and innovation of national creative products.

In line with President Prabowo Subianto's direction to place MSMEs as the backbone of the national economy, the government continues to encourage the strengthening of the creative industry ecosystem so that it can increase added value, expand employment, and increase the contribution of local products in the international market.

INACRAFT is considered to be one of the strategic instruments to bring artisans together with market networks, financing, and global promotion.

During the review, the Vice President visited a number of exhibition booths featuring various handicrafts, ranging from batik, fashion, accessories, decorations, to household appliances.

Gibran also seemed interested and bought calligraphy paintings by local artisans as a form of appreciation for the creativity and quality of domestic creative products.

The Vice President also advised the craftsmen to continue to increase competitiveness in the national and international markets through quality improvement, innovation, and product diversification.

However, Gibran emphasized the importance of maintaining the identity and values of traditions that have taken root as the main strength of Indonesian creativity in the eyes of the world.

While walking through the exhibition area, the Vice President also took the time to greet visitors. The warm greetings and smiles shown were enthusiastically received by the public who interacted directly, ranging from shaking hands to taking photos together.

During the visit, the Vice President was also greeted by well-known designer Anne Avantie at her booth. Anne introduced various innovative products that not only include fashion, but also the development of food and beverage products as part of the expansion of the creative business ecosystem.

INACRAFT has been acting as a strategic partner of the government in encouraging the development of competitive, character-based, and market-oriented Indonesian handicrafts. This exhibition is also a platform for promotion, networking, and collaboration for MSMEs from various regions to expand market access and increase product added value.
