OTT Banjarmasin Deputy KPP Officer Allegedly Related to Tax Restitution

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) carried out a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) against the KPP Banjarmasin Deputy, South Kalimantan today. The alleged silent operation is related to tax restitution.

"(OTT, red) tax restitution," said Deputy Chairman of the KPK Fitroh Rohcahyanto to reporters in a written statement, Wednesday, February 4.

Even so, Fitroh has not detailed who was caught in the silent operation. Meanwhile, KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said the team was still carrying out its duties.

"The team is still on the field. Later we will update," said Budi in a separate statement.

In addition to Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, the KPK also held a silent operation in Jakarta. The team is reported to have trapped officials at the central Customs.

This is the fourth and fifth OTT of the KPK in 2026. The first silent operation of the KPK this year ensnared the Tax Official at the KPP Madya Jakarta Utara, the second OTT related to the Mayor of Madiun, Maidi, and the last one against the Regent of Pati Sudewo.

After the OTT was carried out, the KPK team had 1x24 hours to conduct an examination. The announcement of the suspect will be conveyed through a press conference followed by detention.
