MATARAM - At least 28 names are recorded as land owners in the Amahami Beach reclamation area, Bima City, which is now in the radar of the West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office.

"Whoever is there (land authorities) we will ask for information," said NTB Regional Prosecutor's Office Special Criminal Assistant Muh. Zulkifli Said in Mataram, Antara, Tuesday, February 3.

Zulkifli said that the handling of the case was still in the investigation stage so that his party could not comment further on the substance of the case.

Currently, data collection and evidence are still the main focus of the prosecutor.

He emphasized that the examination not only targeted land owners, but also government officials who had a connection with the management of the Amahami Beach reclamation area.

Previously, on Monday (2/2), a group of people held a demonstration in front of the NTB Prosecutor's Office. The crowd urged the prosecutor's office to move quickly and transparently in handling alleged legal issues in the area.

Head of the Special Criminal Investigation Section of the NTB Regional Attorney's Office, Hendarsyah Yusuf Permana, who met with the mass action, said that the investigation into the reclamation of Amahami Beach continued to show progress.

"We will continue to investigate and will inform again after there is a result," said Hendarsyah.

Based on the search through the Bima City Electronic Procurement Service (LPSE), the local government has carried out a number of large-scale physical projects in the Amahami area using the Regional Budget and Expenditure (APBD).

These projects took place during the two-term leadership of Bima Mayor M. Qurais H. Abidin. The realization of physical projects began in 2017 with an allocation of Rp. 2.5 billion for the arrangement of the Amahami tourist area under the Bima City PUPR Service work unit.

In the same year, the Bima City Government also allocated a budget of Rp. 1.5 billion for the Amahami Market heaping work which was carried out by the Bima City Cooperative, Industry, and Trade Office work unit.

In the 2018 fiscal year, the local government again poured an APBD of IDR 13.5 billion for the construction of the Amahami Market Circle road, which is under the control of the Bima City PUPR Office.

The Amahami area is one of the focus areas for the development of regional tourism, which is expected to be able to create a new economic growth center for the people of Bima City.

In 2025, the local government was again recorded as seeking central government support for the paving of the outer two-ring road resulting from the 2018 project reclamation in the Amahami Beach area.

The area is suspected to be one of the objects handled by the prosecutor related to the issuance of ownership rights for reclaimed land. In addition to the government's possession of land of approximately five hectares, there are 28 other land objects recorded in the name of individuals with varying areas, ranging from three acres to dozens of hectares.
