JAKARTA - The Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) revealed that the frequency of receiving reports on suspected financial crimes in 2025 increased compared to the previous year.

As an effort to prevent money laundering, terrorism financing, and financing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction in Indonesia, the Head of PPATK Ivan Yustiavandana said his agency had received 43 million reports from reporting parties, an increase of 22.5 percent compared to 2024 which recorded 35.6 million reports.

"So, currently PPATK receives 21,861 reports per hour on weekdays. That is an increase compared to 2024 which is as many as 17,825 reports per hour," said Ivan during a working meeting with Commission III of the DPR, Tuesday, February 3.

In addition, he said PPATK had submitted 994 results of analysis, 17 results of examination, and 529 information to investigators and related ministries with a total turnover of funds analyzed reaching Rp. 2,085 trillion, an increase of 42 percent from 2024 of Rp. 1,459.6 trillion.

According to Ivan, PPATK information not only plays a role in preventing and eradicating money laundering, terrorism financing, and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, but also contributes to state revenue from the taxation sector.

He also conveyed that PPATK was actively submitting recommendations on various issues, including on accelerating follow-up to the results of analysis related to online gambling.

Ivan also ensured that PPATK would always focus on supporting government work plans related to the prevention and eradication of money laundering (TPPU), terrorism financing (TPPT), and the financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (PPSPM) in Indonesia.
