Bogor - The Bogor Regency Government, West Java, has evaluated developer permits in the eastern part of the local regency following the land shift incident that occurred in Pabuaran Village, the local area.
Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto said the evaluation was carried out simultaneously with the technical study process which is currently being carried out by a team of experts, including a geological study to determine the main cause of the disaster.
"The results of the study are in process. God willing, on Tuesday (3/2), we will conduct a direct review of the affected locations," said Rudy in Cibinong, Sunday.
He emphasized that the local government would act decisively if there was negligence in construction, whether it was not in accordance with the permit issued or construction without a permit.
"If there is negligence in construction that is not in accordance with the permit, even without a permit, we will ensure that we will take action in accordance with the provisions," he said.
In addition to geological studies, Rudy said the Bogor Regency Government had also carried out an inventory of a number of developers who were active in the eastern region. Evaluations were carried out on permits issued before his leadership.
"The team in the field since we came until today continues to evaluate the permits that have been issued. The complete data is at the housing, settlement, and land and spatial planning services," he said.
Regarding the affected residents, Rudy ensured that all victims of land shifts in Pabuaran Village, Sukamakmur District, were no longer living in evacuation tents. The Bogor Regency Government provided temporary house rental assistance of IDR 750 thousand per month per family head for six months. The assistance was paid at once using the Unexpected Expenditure (BTT) budget post.
"Public safety is the most important thing. Today we make sure that there are no more residents who spend the night in the evacuation tent," he said.
He explained that the land shift that occurred on Thursday (29/1) had an impact on around 60 families. A total of 38 houses were severely damaged, while the rest were in the land zone that was still moving and was considered unsafe to live in.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Bogor Regency BPBD, Ade Hasrat, said that the land movement event not only occurred in Sukamakmur, but also in other areas in Bogor Regency.
"There are three locations, namely Sukamakmur, Tenjo which occurred in two villages, and Megamendung. A total of 77 heads of households received assistance," said Ade.
According to Ade, the results of the initial study showed that the affected area had a unstable soil structure and similar incidents had occurred in recent years.
"This is a recurring incident. In 2024, it has already happened. In 2025, it will happen again at the same location," he said.
Ade added that during the temporary relocation period of six months, the local government would prepare further handling options, ranging from permanent relocation to self-relocation, while still considering the results of technical studies and mutual agreements with residents.
"The most important thing now is that the residents are safe. In the next six months, the best solution will be formulated together with the local government and the community," he said.
