KUDUS - The Kudus Regency Health Office said the health condition of some students of SMA 2 Kudus who had previously undergone hospitalization at a number of hospitals due to suspected poisoning of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) menu has begun to improve and is allowed to go home.

"On January 29, 2026, 47 students were hospitalized, while today it has decreased to 21 children," said Kudus Regency Health Office Secretary Nuryanto in Kudus, Saturday, quoting ANTARA, January 31.

He revealed that on Friday (30/1) there were still 31 students being treated, then today (31/1) it decreased to 21 students.

Initially, the number of students at SMA 2 Negeri Kudus who underwent medical treatment and had to be referred to the hospital was 131 students. Then there are those who have to undergo hospitalization.

The hospital that became a reference for students who experienced symptoms of nausea, vomiting, and dizziness after eating the MBG menu started from Loekmono Hadi Kudus Hospital, Mardi Rahayu Hospital, Kartika Hospital, Kumala Siwi Hospital, Islamic Hospital, Aisyiyah Hospital, and Sarkies Aisyiyah Hospital.

Meanwhile, the 31 students who are currently still undergoing hospitalization are spread across a number of hospitals, namely at the Loekmono Hadi Hospital, RSI, Mardi Rahayu Hospital, SArkies Hospital, Aisyiyah Hospital, KUmala Siwi Hospital, Kartika Husada Hospital, and Nurussyifa Hospital.

When hundreds of students were suspected of poisoning on Thursday (29/1), the Kudus Regency Government together with the TNI/Polri moved quickly to handle it by deploying all ambulance fleets to SMA 2 Negeri Kudus to help delivery to the nearest hospital.
