JAKARTA - PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) recorded a total of 6,793 items left behind throughout bus services and stops during the 2025 operational year. Of these, 1,802 items were returned to their owners after undergoing verification.

Internal data from Transjakarta shows that the most found items occur in the BRT service of Corridor 1 Blok M-Kota and CSW Integration Stop. These two points are known as mobility nodes with high passenger volume every day.

The management of left-behind goods is carried out through an integrated lost and found system. Each item found is recorded, secured, and processed according to the applicable procedures before being returned to the owner.

"The management of left-behind goods is carried out systematically, digitally, and based on clear procedures. This is a manifestation of the accountability value of Transjakarta," said Head of the Corporate Secretary and Public Relations Division of Transjakarta, Tjahyadi, in his statement, Thursday, January 15.

Transjakarta also applies the rules for the shelf life of found goods. Goods that are not picked up by their owners within a period of 90 working days will be further processed, either destroyed or donated for social purposes in accordance with standard operating procedures and legal provisions.

According to Tjahyadi, the grant policy is applied to items that are still wearable so that they do not become waste and still have benefits for the community.

On the other hand, Transjakarta appeals to customers to be more vigilant about their belongings during the journey, especially when getting off the bus or leaving the bus stop.

For customers who feel they have lost items, reports can be submitted directly to field officers or through the official Transjakarta Customer Care channel.

"We want to ensure that every customer's property is managed with high integrity standards, providing certainty and protection for people who use our services," said Tjahyadi.
