JAKARTA - The East Jakarta Environmental Service (Sudin LH) has recorded that it has transported 3,012 tons of garbage from the Kramat Jati Central Market to the Bantar Gebang Integrated Waste Processing Plant (TPST) over the past five days.

"In the last five days, we have transported garbage from the Kramat Jati Central Market to Bantar Gebang with a total tonnage of 3,012 tons," said Head of the Implementation Unit (Kasatpel) of the Kramat Jati Sub-district Dwi Firmansyah, ANTARA, Wednesday, January 14, 2026.

Dwi said that his party had deployed 178 truck fleets to transport garbage from the Kramat Jati Central Market to the Bantar Gebang TPST.

Sudin LH ensures that waste transportation is still carried out regularly, even though mass transportation or garbage collection has been carried out.

Dwi said that his party had coordinated with Perumda (PD) Pasar Jaya and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) regarding waste management in the future.

"The results of the internal meeting encouraged PD Pasar Jaya to independently transport and manage waste. In the future, PD Pasar Jaya will prepare its own transport vehicles," he said.

Later, the LH Sub-Director will only provide assistance and assistance for transporting residual waste. However, before the system is fully operational, routine transportation is still carried out by the East Jakarta LH Sub-Directorate.

"Yesterday we transported about 11 trucks, and today it is planned to be 10 to 12 trucks for daily garbage transportation," said Dwi.

The smooth transportation also depends on the weather conditions in TPST Bantar Gebang. "When it rains heavily, there are constraints on operators for heavy equipment, transportation and conditioning, which do not operate, waiting until the weather gradually recovers and does not endanger safety," explained Dwi.

Heavy rain that occurred in the last few days, he said, had caused a queue because heavy equipment could not be operated for the safety of officers.

"That's why there is usually a queue. But in normal weather, thank God, transportation can be carried out well," he said.

However, he ensured that the new or daily garbage transportation had returned to normal and was not part of the grebek activity.

"Transportation today and yesterday is routine transportation, not a raid. The garbage that is transported is new garbage from the results of one to two days of dumping," said Dwi.

He is optimistic that there will be no significant accumulation of garbage in the near future because the number of garbage piles is balanced with the transport capacity.

The last garbage grebek activity was carried out on Monday (12/1) with a total of around 46 trucks in one day.
