OTT Tax KPP Deputy Jakut, KPK Names 5 Suspects

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named five people as suspects after carrying out a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) regarding alleged bribes related to tax examinations in the environment of the North Jakarta Sub-Tax Office at the Directorate General of Taxes of the Ministry of Finance for the period 2021-2026.

"After finding sufficient evidence, the KPK named five people as suspects, namely DWB as Head of the Deputy Head of the KPP, AGS as Head of the Supervisory and Consulting Section of the Deputy Head of the KPP, ASB as the Assessment Team at the Deputy Head of the KPP, ABD as a tax consultant, and EY as a staff of PT WP," said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu at the KPK Red and White Building, Jakarta, Sunday, January 11.

Asep said the suspects DWB, AGS and ASB were suspected of being the recipients of bribes, and were suspected of violating Article 12 letter a or b or Article 12B of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption Crimes as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 jo. Article 606 paragraph (2) of Law Number 1 of 2026 concerning Criminal Adjustment jo. Article 20 of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Law Code (KUHP).

Meanwhile, he said that the suspects ABD and EY were suspected of being bribe givers and were suspected of Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a or b or Article 13 of Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 jo. Article 20 of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code.

"The KPK will detain the suspects for the first 20 days from January 11-30, 2026. The detention is carried out at the KPK Red and White Building Branch State Detention House," he said.

Previously, the KPK carried out the first hand-in-hand operation (OTT) in 2026 during 9-10 January 2026, and arrested eight people.

The KPK on January 9, 2026, said the OTT was related to alleged tax arrangements in the mining sector.
