JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) said that the arrival of investigators at the Jampidsus at the Directorate General of Planning of the Ministry of Forestry on Wednesday, January 7 to match data on changes in forest functions, especially protected forests in several areas.

Anang explained that the matching of data was related to the investigation of cases related to the opening of mining activities in North Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi.
"The investigation of the case of opening mining activities by companies that entered the forest area area granted by the then regional head in North Konawe by violating and not in accordance with the provisions," he said.
As a proactive step, according to him, investigators went to the Ministry of Forestry to expedite and obtain the necessary data.
He said, the Ministry of Forestry, especially the Directorate General of Planning, helped in providing data and matching data.
"There are several data and documents needed in the investigation and have been provided by the Ministry of Forestry to the investigators and adjusted/matched the data with the data in the investigators," he said.
He also said that this activity is in the context of improving forest governance to ensure that Indonesian forests are more sustainable.
