Paralyzed, a number of schools in Aceh can be used

ACEH - After being paralyzed by flash floods, a number of schools in the Aceh Tamiang area are now able to operate, one of which is SD Negeri 02 Tualang Cut, since Monday, January 5.

Monitoring at the location showed that learning activities at schools had resumed, albeit with limited facilities. A number of classrooms have not been equipped with benches and study tables that were swept away by the flood.

In one of the classrooms, the students seemed to be singing compactly while sitting on the floor of the room with a mat. Meanwhile, in another classroom, a number of students were seen sitting cross-legged while writing and describing their experiences when the flood hit their residential area.

However, the school still has remnants of benches and desks left after the flood in one of the classrooms and is still used for teaching and learning activities.

SD Negeri 02 Tualang Cut is one of 2,756 schools in Aceh that were previously damaged by flooding.
