JAKARTA - The Regional Representative Council (DPRD) of DKI Jakarta ensures that two strategic Regional Regulations (Raperda) will soon be enacted into Regional Regulations (Perda). The two regulations each regulate the arrangement of the region and the management of Regional Property (BMD).

Member of Commission A of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Dadiyono, said that the results of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) facilitation regarding the Regulation on the Formation, Change of Name, Boundaries, and Elimination of Districts and Villages, as well as the Regulation on the Management of BMD, have been approved.

"All the results of the Ministry of Home Affairs facilitation have been agreed and approved," Dadiyono told reporters, Wednesday, January 7.

Dadiyono said that the two Raperdas would soon be brought to the plenary meeting of the DKI Jakarta DPRD to be officially designated as Perda. The Raperda for spatial planning, he said, was drafted to regulate the administration of regional and population administration so that the quality of public services in Jakarta would increase.

He explained that the discussion on the arrangement of the area was carried out because there were a number of areas that were considered eligible for expansion. One of them is Pulo Kapuk Village, Cengkareng District, West Jakarta, with a very large population.

"With such a population, the burden of administrative services is certainly very heavy if it is only handled by one village. Therefore, it was agreed to expand Pulo Kapuk," said Dadiyono.

However, he emphasized the importance of the readiness of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) in anticipating various impacts from the expansion of the area.

"Local governments must think about the impact in a comprehensive manner. The public must be facilitated so that they do not experience difficulties in implementing these changes," he said.

Dadiyono added that the regional zoning ordinance will be supplemented with derivative rules as guidelines for implementation in the field.

"The ultimate goal remains the same, namely to realize a more orderly, orderly Jakarta and provide better services to the community," said Dadiyono.

Apart from the arrangement of the region, the DKI Jakarta DPRD also paid attention to the Regional Property Management Regulation. According to Dadiyono, this regulation is crucial to ensure that regional assets can be optimally managed and contribute to the Regional Original Income (PAD).

"Currently, there are still many regional assets, including social facilities and public facilities, which have not been handed over or are still controlled by the private sector," he said.

He also highlighted the still existence of old assets owned by the region that were abandoned and did not provide benefits.

"There are also old assets that are abandoned and do not contribute anything. Through this regulation, the management of these assets will be regulated so that they can be empowered to the maximum," concluded Dadiyono.
