Prabowo Appreciates Danantara for Building 600 Huntara for Aceh Tamiang Residents, 15,000 Units Projected

President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto appreciates the rapid performance of the Badan Pengelola Investasi Danantara in providing housing for disaster-affected residents. In just eight days since it started on December 24, as many as 600 units of temporary housing (huntara) have been completed.

Prabowo emphasized that the speed of this development is a tangible proof of the state's presence in alleviating the suffering of the people. According to him, the main focus of the government at this time is to ensure that the affected citizens can immediately start their lives with dignity and dignity.

"Andantara proved that in eight days it could build 600 housing units which I think is quite good. Our focus is how we can reduce and alleviate the suffering of the people. That is our obligation as officials and leaders," said Prabowo in his statement, Thursday, January 1.

In the construction process, Prabowo gave special instructions so that the work would remain efficient by utilizing local potential. He encouraged the use of simple but effective materials to increase the comfort of temperature in the residence, such as the use of textile or woven layers under the zinc roof to reduce heat.

"The solution does not have to be expensive, it can be from local materials or textiles to coat the zinc so that it does not get hot. This is a form of creativity for people in the field," he added.

Even though it is built with a fast modular concept, the government ensures that each unit still prioritizes quality of life. This residence is also equipped with two mattresses, cabinets, fans, as well as free electricity and Wi-Fi access.

To support environmental health, there are communal toilets, health clinics, and children's playgrounds. The success of the construction of the first 600 units is a step towards the government's ambitious target.

Danantara is projected to be able to build up to 15,000 temporary houses in the next three months. President Prabowo emphasized that this physical development must be accompanied by the restoration of the dignity of the people.

"The state not only wants to rebuild collapsed buildings, but also ensure basic safety and comfort for every disaster victim through the spirit of mutual cooperation," he concluded.
