PONTIANAK - The West Kalimantan Regional Police Narcotics Investigation Directorate has uncovered 24 cases of narcotics offenses during the period from October to December 2025 with a total of 30 suspects, nine of whom are repeat offenders.

"During the period from October to December 2025, the Narcotics Directorate of the West Kalimantan Police managed to uncover 24 cases of narcotics with a total of 30 suspects, nine of whom were repeat offenders," said the Director of Narcotics Investigation of the West Kalimantan Police, Kombes Police Dedy Suryadi, accompanied by the Head of Public Relations of the West Kalimantan Police Kombes Pol. He explained that from the amount of seized narcotics evidence, it is estimated that 95,593 people have been saved from the danger of drug abuse, with a value of the narcotics network losses reaching more than IDR 3.26 billion.

"This is a form of our commitment in protecting the nation's generation from the threat of narcotics," he said.

On this occasion, it was also conveyed that the narcotics evidence to be destroyed was in the form of methamphetamine with a total net weight of 5,209 grams. Meanwhile, the remaining methamphetamine weighing 2,727.66 grams is still in the legal process. For ecstasy evidence, 232 pieces have been destroyed previously, while another 170 pieces are still awaiting a decision from the court.

Meanwhile, Suseno emphasized that the success of the disclosure of the narcotics case was the result of synergy between the National Police, related institutions, and the active role of the community.

"We appreciate the support of the community who have provided information to the police. The West Kalimantan Police are committed to continuing to eradicate the circulation of narcotics and provide maximum protection to the community from the threat of drugs," said Bayu.

He also appealed to the public not to hesitate to report any suspicious activities related to the circulation of narcotics in the surrounding area.

"Public participation is very important so that West Kalimantan can be free from the danger of drugs," he said.

The suspects in the case were charged with Law Number 35/2009 concerning Narcotics, with a maximum penalty of death penalty, life imprisonment, or a maximum prison sentence of 20 years.
