Task Force Yonif 511 Succeeds in Clean Water Program in Numbukawi Lanny Jaya

WAMENA - The Border Security Task Force (Pamtas) of the 511/DY Yonif successfully carried out a clean water program in Numbukawi Village, Malagai District, Lanny Jaya Regency, Papua Mountains.

Dansatgas Pamtas Yonif 511/DY Letkol Inf Amar Supratman inaugurated the piped water network in the hinterland of Papua Mountains, especially in Numbukawi Village, Malagai District, Lanny Jaya Regency.

Lieutenant Colonel Inf Amar SWAMEMupratman in a written statement in Wamena, Saturday, said the piped water network was a gift for the Christmas celebration for the people of Papua's interior Jaya.

"Clean water provided is a Christmas gift for people in rural Papua. In addition, we also provide basic necessities (bapok) for children in rural Papua," he said.

According to him, the community is very enthusiastic and happy with the presence of clean water pipanization which is indeed very needed.

"Pipanization of clean water is not only to help the community, but also to encourage empowerment and mobilize the community's agriculture. This is part of integrated development," he said.

He explained that the presence of the TNI in the midst of the Indonesian people in Papua is to provide attention and support in any form, including helping to create a network of clean water pipanization.

"We hope that the presence of the TNI will provide support to the community in the hinterland to overcome the social problems they face," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Numbukawi Leis Village, Yonif Weya, expressed his gratitude to the Pamtas Task Force of Yonif 511/DY for supporting the construction of a clean water piping network.

"Thank you to the commander and his staff for their attention to the community, and for helping the local government to develop infrastructure, namely the pipanization of clean water in Numbukawi Village, Malagai District," he said.
