DENPASAR - A barbaric youth in Kuta, Badung, Bali, was caught on surveillance camera / CCTV trying to rape a minimarket employee when the situation was quiet for buyers.

In a short video that went viral on social media, a man wearing black clothes was recorded suddenly approaching the victim's convenience store employee, then hugging him and pushing him allegedly to commit rape.

The victim resisted until the perpetrator fled out of the minimarket.

Head of Public Relations of Denpasar Police, Kompol I Ketut Sukadi, said the attempted rape occurred on Sunday (21/12) at around 14.42 WITA, at a minimarket on Jalan Terompong, Benoa Village, South Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali.

"Currently, the suspected perpetrator has been secured and is undergoing intensive examination by the PPA unit of the Denpasar Police Criminal Investigation Unit," said Kompol Sukadi, Monday, December 22.

The victim with the initials S (21) has reported this case to the South Kuta Police. The perpetrator with the initials PKSAP (19) was arrested some time later.
