BOGOR - The Bogor Class I Immigration Office has secured a number of foreign nationals who violated immigration provisions in the Jagratara and Wira Waspada Operations held on December 10-12, 2025. One of the cases of concern is the arrest of four men from India in the Bogor Station area.
The four foreigners are initials VGV, SA, SS, and AS. They were secured after officers suspected the activities carried out in public facilities, reinforced by community reports. The Bogor Station is suspected of being used as a meeting point as well as a temporary stop to avoid the supervision of officers.
The Bogor Immigration Office revealed that the group had previously been on the immigration surveillance radar in Jakarta. Some of their colleagues had even been secured by the West Jakarta Immigration Office, so it was strongly suspected that the four foreign nationals had moved to the Bogor area to avoid prosecution.
"They are in groups, some of them have been arrested at the West Jakarta Immigration. It is likely that they fled to Bogor and we found them at Bogor Station," said the Bogor Immigration in a statement, Thursday, December 18.
The results of the examination showed that the presence of the four Indian nationals in Bogor was not for tourist purposes. Officers found strong indications that they were planning to find work in Indonesia without having valid documents and work permits. In addition, the limited residence permits they used were known to have expired.
"After the examination, they were known to be planning to work," said Immigration.
Based on the results of document checks, the four foreign nationals violated Article 78 paragraph (2) of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration, namely staying beyond the time limit of the permit granted or overstay, with a duration of less than 60 days.
Head of the Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement Section of the Bogor Immigration Office, Danil Rachman, emphasized that the supervision of foreigners is part of the state's efforts to maintain the rule of law and public order.
"Foreigner supervision is not only aimed at enforcement, but also prevention. We are committed to carrying out our duties professionally, humanely, and based on the law," said Danil.
Bogor Immigration also appealed to the public to play an active role in reporting the presence or activities of suspicious foreigners, especially ahead of the Christmas and New Year holidays, to maintain security and order in the Bogor area.
