The Struggle to Build 4 Bailey Bridges in Disaster-Affected Areas

JAKARTA - The process of opening isolated routes due to disasters in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra continues to be carried out by the government, one of which is by improving infrastructure which is a priority.

The bridge is one of the infrastructures whose repairs are accelerated. For this reason, the government decided to build an emergency bridge or bailey bridge. Of the total 35 bridges that were cut off in the three provinces, the government has prioritized completion at crucial points.

Summarized by the Indonesian Government Communication Agency, Wednesday, December 17, the four bailey bridges that are being accelerated are: the Teupin Mane Bridge in Bireun Regency, Aceh; the Teupin Reudeup Bridge which is an alternative route connecting Bireun Regency and Lhokseumawe; the Kuta Blang Bridge which is a connection between East Aceh and Bireuen to Lhoksemawe; and the Dusun 3 Pondok Gudang Bridge in Langkat Regency.
