Tangerang - The South Tangerang City Government (Pemkot), Banten, has started transporting piles of garbage from the shoulder of the road in Ciputat and Serpong to be taken to the waste processing site reduce reuse recycle (TPS3R).
Deputy Mayor of South Tangerang Pilar Saga Ichsan said Environment Service (DLH) officers began transporting piles of garbage from the city's shoulders.
"Currently it has started to be transported in several areas. I ask for directions to the Environment Service to use the TPS3R first that exists. Later the TPS3R will only be temporary, after that we will only lift it to the Cipeucang Landfill," he said as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, December 17.
He said that the transportation of garbage to TPS3R was carried out temporarily after the Cipeucang landfill was arranged for the construction of a bridge or the construction of a road to landfill 2 and 4.
The arrangement, said Pilar, will be carried out as quickly as possible so that there will be no more accumulation of garbage that interferes with community activities in his area.
"As soon as possible, I ask for a fast track for its development. Hopefully it won't be until the end of the year, in 1 week, 2 weeks, it must be completed," he said.
He apologized to the public regarding the accumulation of garbage that occurred behind this.
"We apologize on behalf of the South Tangerang City Government for the inconvenience of the waste piling up in several main areas and corridors," he said.
Previously, piles of garbage filled the Ciputat flyover and Dewi Sartika Street, Ciputat, South Tangerang (Tangerang).
The accumulation has been going on for a week, allegedly because the Cipeucang landfill is being arranged.
The pile of garbage was not only in one location, but in six locations on the road with the worst pile under the Ciputat flyover.
"The garbage has been piling up since Friday (5/12/2025), almost a week. It is not being transported because the information is that the TPA disposal is not allowed, and the garbage in the market is also closed, so this is piling up," said a resident of Ciputat, Setiawan.
English:
The garbage that piled up on the street, was dominated by the traders' garbage.
Until now, he said, the waste that was allowed to pile up had a bad smell.
In addition to the side of the Ciputat road, piles of garbage also occurred in the Jombang Market and Serpong Market areas. The scattered garbage even spilled onto the highway.
