Head of the Social Protection and Social Security Division of the Cirebon Dinsos, Tsabit Albani, said that the flood event that occurred due to heavy rain since Saturday, December 13 evening, affected hundreds of residents so that emergency handling was immediately carried out.
"Meanwhile, we report that there are several flood-affected areas that need food supplies for residents," he said in Cirebon, Sunday, quoted by Antara.

He added that flooding also hit Tegal Karang Village in Palimanan District with 18 houses, 26 households, and 37 people affected by the flood.
In addition, he said that Kebarepan Village in Plumbon District was also affected by the flood with a breakdown of 267 houses, 534 households or 1,602 people.
Tsabit explained that this time the flood was triggered by the collapse of the river embankment along the Kalianyar-Panguragan River which caused water to enter the residents' settlements.
"In addition to the breached embankment, the Bondet River in Gunungjati also overflowed due to the high tide which was accompanied by water from upstream," he said.
As an initial handling effort, the Cirebon Regency Social Service sent Disaster Standby Cadets (Tagana) to the flood-affected location.
He ensured that the public kitchen had also been opened to meet the needs of residents in flood-affected areas.
"Currently, Tagana is carrying out a follow-up assessment to list the needs of the residents in more detail," he said.
