KPK Has The Opportunity To Apply Other Articles In The BI-OJK CSR Case

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) opens the opportunity to apply the bribery article in the alleged corruption of alleged corruption in the social program or CSR Bank Indonesia (BI) and the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

Allegations of gratification that ensnared former members of Commission XI of the DPR, Satori and Heri Gunawan are the entrances.

"The possibility is always open because this is still the initial door of the two people who have been named as suspects," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters, Friday, December 12.

Even so, Budi emphasized, the process of implementing other articles will certainly see several things. Including, observing the facts of the trial after Satori and Heri Gunawan were detained and the case was transferred to court.

"From there we can see if there are also facts that can be new evidence for possible investigation development," he said.

Meanwhile, in a separate statement, Budi mentioned that investigators had explored several things. Among them, the purpose of giving CSR by BI and OJK to members of Commission XI.

However, Budi did not want to elaborate further on the investigators' findings. "This is still being investigated, including in the BI-OJK processes as a partner of Commission XI of the DPR RI. Well, this is related (giving, ed) like what," he said.

Previously reported, the KPK officially announced the legislators of the DPR from the NasDem Satori Party faction and Heri Gunawan as legislators of the DPR from the Gerindra Party faction as suspects in the alleged corruption of BI-OJK CSR funds. Both are suspected of receiving gratuities and committing money laundering (TPPU).

Satori is suspected of receiving social funds with a total of Rp. 12.52 billion in this case. The details are Rp. 6.30 billion from BI; Rp. 5.14 billion from OJK through Financial Counseling activities; and Rp. 1.04 billion from other working partners of Commission XI of the DPR.

The money is allegedly used for personal needs, such as deposits, land purchases, showroom construction, purchases of two-wheeled vehicles, and purchases of other assets.

Meanwhile, Heri Gunawan received a total of Rp15.86 billion and used it also for personal gain. The details are Rp6.26 billion from BI; Rp7.64 billion from OJK through Financial Counseling activities; and Rp1.94 billion from other working partners of Commission XI DPR.

The money is called the KPK which is accommodated in an account. Heri Gunawan then used it to build restaurants, manage drink outlets, purchase land and buildings to four-wheeled vehicles.
