JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung inaugurated the start of the beautification by painting the mural under the Becakayu toll road and the Inner City Toll Road, East Jakarta.
The move to beautify under this toll road, said Pramono, was to get a record from the Indonesian Record Museum (MURI) as the longest range expression space in Indonesia.
"I'm really happy because in East Jakarta there is an expression room that is 18 kilometers long and gets a Muri record. This expression room is below, under the toll road, along 18 kilometers," Pramono said at the location, Thursday, December 11.
The East Jakarta City Government utilized the mural painting program under the toll road as a creative expression room by reshuffling 65 urban villages as participants.
This beautification program covers 812 poles along the Becakayu Toll Road with a length of 10 km and 514 poles on the Inner City Toll Road with a length of 8 kilometers.
"Hopefully with this contest, in addition to the expression space that can be displayed, it will also make East Jakarta safer, more comfortable, more beautiful," said Pramono.

Pramono hopes that the arrangement of open spaces like this can be imitated by other regional governments and Jakarta as a pilot city.
Pramono emphasized that this collaboration is an example of how spaces that previously looked dry and underused could be transformed into more beautiful, safe, and beneficial areas for residents.
"So to keep this process well maintained, I will ask for routinely every year we will be notified. If what has faded, it is not good, we will fix it. I am sure that we will make cooperation, friendship, togetherness at the village level will occur," explained Pramono.
