Meet Putin At The Kremlin Palace, Prabowo Praises RI-Russia Relations Very Good

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto met Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin Palace, Moscow, Russia.

Reported by ANTARA Wednesday, December 10, President Prabowo appears to be sitting next to President Putin, accompanied by delegates from the two countries.

During the meeting, President Prabowo was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

In his introduction, President Prabowo appreciated President Putin for receiving his visit on the sidelines of a busy schedule.

"What I respect the noble President Putin and the leaders of the Russian government, thank you for my acceptance. I understand that President Putin's agenda is very busy, I thank you for the very short news," said President Prabowo.

The Head of State said the goal was to meet President Putin to thank him for the very good relationship between Indonesia and Russia.

"Actually, my arrival was only for consultation, but now it's just to say thank you because the relationship between Russia and Indonesia for us is now at a very good level," said Prabowo.

Meanwhile, Putin said he was happy to welcome President Prabowo and the Indonesian delegation to Russia.

"Your Excellency the president and honorable friends, we are very happy to see you all here today," said Putin.

Putin also appreciated President Prabowo's participation in the 2025 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) last June.

He said relations between Russia and Indonesia developed very consistently this year, which also coincided with 75 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

It is known, this is the second time President Prabowo has met President Putin in Russia this year. Previously, the Head of State had made a state visit to St. Petersburg, Russia, on June 18 '20.

During the visit, Prabowo met with President Putin and attended the 2025 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
