Depok Satpol PP Unloads 59 Illegal Buildings In Pancoran Mas, 100 Bottles Of Alcohol Confiscated

The Depok City Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) brought order to dozens of illegal buildings (bangli) and street vendors (PKL) in the Kali Licin area to the front of Poin Mas Housing, Pancoran Mas, on Wednesday, December 10. The control took place conducively and involved joint elements from the TNI, Polri, Garnisun, Military Police, to related agencies.

Head of Trantibum Division Panwal Satpol PP Depok Agus Mohammad explained, this action was carried out starting from the T-junction of the Licin River to the Mampang T-junction area. A total of 59 buildings, including street vendors and semi-permanent buildings, were demolished in the operation.

This action is based on Regional Regulation (Perda) Number 5 of 2022 concerning the Implementation of Public Peace and Public Order and Community Protection. Prior to the dismantling, Satpol PP had sent warning letters (SP) 1, 2, and 3, followed by an official demolition warrant.

According to Agus, the existence of the illegal building violates the rules of the road commensurate line. The area should be allocated for reforestation and widening of roads according to city planning.

He emphasized that the control process was running without any resistance from the owner. Most building owners even show compliance by dismantling their stalls themselves.

"Almost 30-40 percent have dismantled it ourselves, the rest we have just ordered," said Agus.

In the same area control operation, Satpol PP also found and secured unexpected findings. Officers managed to secure more than 100 bottles of alcoholic beverages (miras) from various brands found around the Uki intersection, Pancoran Mas Village, based on reports from local residents.

Satpol PP Depok stated that this control activity will continue to the Komodo Road section as part of a sustainable effort to organize the order and beauty of the city.
