Governor Of Babel Sets Alert One Flood

The Governor of the Bangka Belitung Islands, Hidayat Arsani, has set a alert to be aware of floods and other natural disasters due to extreme rain in the area.

"Today we set a flood alert in the face of this extreme weather," said Hidayat Arsani as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, December 8.

He said that in dealing with extreme rain at the end of this year, all regional leaders in the Babel Islands such as the TNI, Polri, Basarnas, BPBD, Transportation Service, Satpol PP and other parties were on alert to be aware of floods.

"All district and city governments must also be on standby to deal with this extreme rainy weather," he said.

In anticipating this natural disaster, the Provincial Government of the Babel Islands will continue to monitor weather conditions and developments to be socialized to the public.

"We will continue to monitor it and in the event of a natural disaster it will be handled quickly to minimize the victims and the property of the disaster victims," he said.

The governor appealed to the public to always be vigilant and not to throw garbage in waterways, rivers to minimize this flood.

"We hope that the public will always be alert and alert if there is heavy rain, in order to anticipate things that are not desirable. The point is that people must be prepared to face natural conditions that are not in good condition," he said.
