JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Thameen Al-Kheetan called for increased international pressure on Israel to stop ongoing attacks in the Gaza Strip.
In Friday's statement Al-Kheetan stressed the urgent need to honor ceasefire agreements in Gaza, Lebanon, and all other regions, emphasizing the importance of enforcing international human rights laws and international humanitarian law.
"Since the ceasefire in Gaza, the killing of Palestinians has continued," Al-Kheetan said, launching WAFA (5/12).
He further underlined, "all countries must work tirelessly to end these violations and crimes under international law in Gaza."
Al-Kheetan also called on all influential parties to use their powers to pressure the Israeli government to end the war in Gaza, implement the International Court's decision, end Israel's illegal occupation of Palestinian territory, stop ongoing abuses, and hold those responsible accountable.
