GEB Cares: 6 Tons Of Rice And Drug Funds For Padang Affected By Disasters

PT General Energy Bali (GEB) through the GEB Care program distributed 6 tons of rice as well as basic medicines and necessities in the form of cash to disaster victims in Padang City, West Sumatra, Friday (5/12/2025).

This quick step is a form of the company's concern in supporting the recovery of residents affected by the disaster in Sumatra.

"The choice of Padang City is because not many people pay attention," said Director of PT GEB Irnawati to VOI.

The assistance was handed over directly by the Director of PT GEB Irnawati Sutanto with Vice Manager ADM & GA Indriati Tanu Tanto.

The aid was received directly by the Chairman of the West Sumatra DPRD, Buya Muhidi, at his official residence in connection with a limited time. He expressed his appreciation for GEB Peduli which will soon be distributed.

"On behalf of the DPRD and the West Sumatra Provincial Government representing the people of Padang, we thank PT GEB for coming directly to provide assistance," said Muhidi.

He emphasized that Padang's condition was still in an emergency response status, and this assistance was expected to be right on target and help accelerate the recovery of residents.

"With this assistance, we hope that people can reorganize their lives and recover," he said.

The West Sumatra Provincial Government said that further data collection on needs will be carried out, and there will be opportunities for further collaboration with GEB.

PT General Energy Bali is the manager of PLTU Celukan Bawang, Buleleng, Bali. Although it is two thousand five hundred kilometers away, GEB affirms its commitment to be present to the Indonesian people widely when a disaster occurs and helps the recovery of affected local residents.
