KPK Seizes Firearms From The Reog Ponorogo Museum Contractor Office

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated firearms while searching PT Widya Satria's office on Wednesday, November 26. This finding was obtained by investigators during a forced attempt after the hand arrest operation (OTT) that ensnared the Regent of Ponorogo, Sugiri Sancoko.

The contractor company is the winner of the tender for the construction of the Reog Monument and the Ponorogo Civilization Museum (MRMP). His office is located on Jalan Ketintang Permai Blok BB 20, Surabaya.

"In addition to securing documents and electronic evidence, investigators also confiscated firearms which were then entrusted to the East Java Regional Police," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in his statement, Monday, December 1.

In addition, the anti-corruption commission found documents and electronic evidence at other locations. Including Sugiri's house, which is currently in custody.

"In the follow-up investigation of cases of alleged corruption in bribery and gratification within the Ponorogo Regency government, last week investigators intensively conducted searches in a number of locations," said Budi.

Among them, search activities were carried out in the Surabaya area, namely at SUG's house, ELW's house, CV. Raya Ilmi's office, and CV. Design Persada. During the search, investigators secured a number of documents and electronic evidence," he continued.

In addition, searches were also carried out in the Bangkalan area, Madura. Budi said investigators visited the house of the Ponorogo Regent Expert with the initials KKH.

"During the search, a number of documents and electronic bars were also secured," he said.

Budi emphasized that all of these findings will be analyzed. The investigators will then investigate all the evidence to help uncover cases of alleged corruption, whether suspected bribery related to positions, project bribery, or other receipts or gratuities.

Previously reported, the KPK named the Regent of Ponorogo Sugiri Sancoko as a suspect along with three other people, namely Agus Pramono who is the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Ponorogo Regency who has been in office since 2012; Yunus Mahatma as Director of Dr. Harjono Hospital Ponorogo Regency; and Sucipto who is a private party partner of Ponorogo Hospital in a work package within Ponorogo Regency.

The determination of the suspect began with a hand arrest operation (OTT) on Friday, November 7. There were three corruption clusters found by the KPK.

The first is the alleged bribery in the management of positions. Then bribery for work projects at the Ponorogo Hospital and other receipts or gratuities.

In the bribery case for the management of positions, Yunus as Director of RSUD Dr. Harjono Ponorogo Regency knew that Sugiri would replace it since the beginning of the year. So, he prepared a sum of money and handed it over three times.

The first handover was made by Yunus to Sugiri in February 2025 with a nominal value of Rp. 400 million. This money is given through an aide.

Then, in the April-August period, Yunus handed over Rp325 million to Agus Pramono.

Then, he again handed over Rp500 million to Ninik, who was Sugiri's relative in November. Thus, the money received by Sugiri reached Rp900 million.

It didn't stop there, Sugiri also received Rp1.4 billion from a work package project in the Ponorogo Hospital with a value of Rp14 billion. This money, called the KPK, was initially received by Yunus as the Head of the Regional Hospital.

Meanwhile, in the last cluster, it is suspected that Sugiri received gratuities in the form of hundreds of millions of money from the private sector.
