SEMARANG - Polri inaugurated the Center for Police Science Studies at the Faculty of Law, Sultan Agung Islamic University (Uzisula) Semarang, Central Java.

The inauguration was led by the National Police's Kalemdiklat Komjen Chrysnanda Dwilaksana, accompanied by Karobindiklat Lemdiklat Polri Brigadier General Susilo Teguh Raharjo.

In the keynote speech, Komjen Chrysnanda said the development of police science must evolve along with technological changes and social complexity.

He emphasized the need for universities to produce research-based policy recommendations that are relevant to the operational needs of the Police.

"The University Police Study Center is projected to be the leading center that bridges theory and practice in the field," he said at the inauguration which was held on Saturday, November 29.

Komjen Chrysnanda hopes that this study center will focus on comparative studies, including the integration of Islamic legal perspectives and professional ethics in police duties.

With the support of the National Police and Ubulusula's academic capacity, he is optimistic that this study center will make a real contribution to a more humanist, professional and accountable national security system.

The Chancellor of Umisula, Prof. Dr. Gunarto, SH., MH., called the presence of this study center a strategic step to encourage more professional police research.

He assessed that the collaboration between the National Police and the campus will strengthen studies, research, and scientific publications in the fields of security, order, and law enforcement based on religious values.

The study center is also designed to support the Green Policing program through a moral and social approach, including strengthening food security as a foundation for social stability and state life.
