West Pasaman Regency Government Records 4,292 Residents Refuge Impact Of Disaster Commemoration

The District Government (Pemkab) of West Pasaman in West Sumatra (West Sumatra) noted that 4,292 residents or 1,198 families (KK) affected by the disaster are still displaced to various safe places in 11 sub-districts.

"Based on temporary data until Sunday afternoon, the refugees are worried that further flooding, houses damaged by floods and landslides will also wait for the weather to return to normal," said Head of the West Pasaman Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Jhon Edwar accompanied by BPBD West Pasaman Secretary Gustrizal at Simpang Empat, Sunday, confiscated by Antara.

He said in detail that of the 4,292 people, in Talamau District, 221 people or 60 families were displaced, precisely in Jorong Pasanggiang 124 people or 60 families were affected by landslides, while 97 people in Batang Tinggal, Talamau District fled to the Antem Boundary. They were also affected by landslides.

In Sungai Beremas Subdistrict, 50 families were displaced by floods, in Ranan Batahan Subdistrict 95 families with a distribution of 60 families in Silayang, 20 families in Lubuk Gobing, and 15 families in Tolang Baru Intersection. In Kinali District 58 families or 172 people with details of 49 families 145 people in Limpato Anam Koto Selatan and nine families or 27 people in Kembar Sari Anam Koto Selatan. They were affected by the flood.

In addition, in Sasak Ranah Pasisia District 745 families or 3,177 people with details in Pondok Rumah Fishermen 182 families or 650 people, in Pondok Karambia Ampek 101 families or 333 people, and in Lamo Market 261 families or 996 people. In Koro Sawah, Lembah Melintang District 185 families or 722 people were caused by floods and in Padang Belimbing District, Luhak Nan Duo District, five families were also caused by flooding.

"We have distributed basic necessities and other necessities to the refugees," he said.

Residents affected by the earthquake, he said, took refuge in the homes of their relatives, mosques, and neighbors who were considered safe from disasters.

Temporary BPBD data, as a result of the natural disaster 13,281 families or 54,844 people were affected and one person died, 26 educational facilities, one office, one bridge dam damaged, 534 hectares of agricultural land damaged.
