Ukrainian Anti-Corruption Agency Searches Andriy Yermak's Presidential Chief Of Staff Office

JAKARTA - The Ukrainian anti-corruption agency has conducted a search at the office of Presidential Chief of Staff Andriy Yermak, a source with knowledge on Friday.

"Investigative actions have been permitted and are being carried out as part of the investigation. The details will follow," the Ukrainian special anti-corruption prosecutor's office said in a Telegram application.

The same thing was also expressed by Ukrainian lawmaker Yaroslav Zheleznyak reporting via Telegram.

"NABU (Ukraine National Anti-Corruption Biro) and SAPO (The Anti-Corruption Special Prosecutor's Office) have searched Andrey Yermak's office since the early hours of the morning," the legislator wrote on his Telegram channel, reported by TASS.

News website Ukrainska Pravda released images from the government district and said journalists had recorded about 10 NABU and SAPO staff at the location.

Meanwhile, there has been no comment from Yermak himself.

Previously, the two anti-corruption agencies held a massive operation, dubbed MISSas, to uncover a massive corruption scheme in Ukraine's energy sector on November 10.

The office of East Mindich businessman, German Justice Minister Galushchenko, who has now been dismissed from office, and the company Energoatom was searched.

According to investigators, those involved in this criminal scheme have laundered at least 100 million US dollars. On the same day, NABU began publishing snippets of conversation recordings in Mindich's apartment, which discussed the corruption scheme. The total audio recording amounted to 1,000 hours.

On November 11, NABU filed the first indictment, including against Mindich as the head of a criminal organization, as well as former Deputy Prime Minister and former Minister of National Unity, Alexey Chernyshov, who is still close to President Zelensky.

Mindich left Ukraine hours before the search, fleeing to Israel.

On November 17, information emerged that Yermak might appear in a recording made in the Mindich apartment under the pseudonym Ali Baba.
