The Creative Economy Determines Bogor As The City Of Performance Arts

Bogor City is designated as the Art City of Performance by the Ministry of Creative Economy (Kemenekraf)/Creative Economic Agency through the Independent Assessment of Indonesian Creative Regencies/Cities (PMK3I), Directorate of Infrastructure Facilitation Deputy for Creative Economy Strategy Development.

This determination was marked by the signing of the PMK3I Test Test Report by the Bogor City Government (Pemkot) and representatives of the Bogor City creative economy ecosystem at the Bogor City Library and Gallery, Wednesday, November 26.

The Mayor of Bogor, Dedie A. Rachim, said that this determination was a matter of pride for the City of Bogor and was a commitment to continue to prepare supporting facilities and infrastructure.

"Including how to provide guidance to creative economy actors, especially in the field of performing arts," he said, accompanied by the Head of the Bogor City Tourism and Culture Office (Kadisparbud), Firdaus.

The Director of Infrastructure Facilitation of the Ministry of Creative Economy, Fahmy Akmal, stated that the results of the assessment showed that not only was the art of the show potential, but that all sub-sectors of the creative economy could support the economy of Bogor City.

He added that the growth of the creative economy as a new season in the national economy could start from the city of Bogor.

"With this signing, all parties are committed to carrying out one of the sub-sectors as the locomotive of creative economy development. This is our commitment that districts/cities that have declared superior sub-sectors are our priority as creative regions to continue to develop and be given wider network opportunities," he said.

The head of the PMK3I Petik Test Team, Dewi Kartikasari, explained that the picking test was carried out through direct field verification and Focus Group Discussion (FGD).

"During the picking test, we felt a very compact ecosystem in Bogor City. Every creative actor knows each other and supports each other. This shows that the creative ecosystem of Bogor City is a healthy ecosystem," he said.
