KPK Hopes Prabowo Attends The Peak Of Hakordia 2025 In Yogyakarta

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will invite President Prabowo Subianto at the peak of the 2025 World Anti-Corruption Day celebration in Yogyakarta on December 9. The former Minister of Defense (Menhan) is expected to attend.

"Hopefully you can attend. Yes, hopefully (can attend Yogyakarta, ed). That's the plan," said Deputy Chairman Ibnu Basuki Widodo to reporters at the ACLC KPK building, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, Monday, November 24.

Ibnu explained that the series of Hakordia 2025 celebrations will begin on December 6.

"The peak is on December 9. So there are various kinds that will be held. There is a workshop, there is a question and answer, there is a seminar," he said.

"Then there is also a meeting with children, starting from elementary, junior high schools of various kinds there," he said.

Meanwhile, KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said Yogyakarta was chosen as the center of Hakordia 2025 activities because the city is known as a city of education and a city of culture. This condition is in line with efforts to eradicate corruption, especially through the course of prevention and education.

In addition, Jogja is one of the local governments that has good governance.

"In the Jogja area, the KPK previously also piloted anti-corruption village programs, which are currently growing and are already in every province throughout Indonesia. Including its development, namely cities/anti-corruption districts," said Budi.

Budi said the Governor of Yogyakarta Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X responded positively. The Sultan gave full support by facilitating several places for the 2025 Hakordia commemoration later.

"Hopefully this activity will involve more people, students, students, including culturalists and art workers, as well as MSMEs," concluded Budi.
