Lampung Holds Ijtima Ulama And Umara Dunia, Port-Bandara Security Tightened

JAKARTA - The South Lampung Resort Police (Polres) has tightened security at Bakauheni Port and Radin Inten II Airport, Natar, Lampung, to welcome the arrival of international standard Ijtima Ulama and Umara pilgrims in Kota Baru, Jati Agung District.

Deputy Head of South Lampung Police Commissioner Made Silpa Yudiawan said 107 personnel were deployed to secure a number of vital points, such as entrances, evacuation routes, parking areas, and crowd nodes.

"Bakauheni and Radin Intan Airport are the largest entry points. We make sure the security there runs optimally," he said in Kalianda, Monday, as reported by Antara.

He explained that the implementation of the Ijtima Ulama and Umara world will take place on November 28'30, 2025, but pilgrims from various regions to the state have started arriving at the location of the association.

"For this large-scale security needs, the Lampung Police have deployed personnel plus support from the Bandarlampung Police, Pesawaran Police, and the Lampung Police Mobile Brigade. The addition has reached 981 personnel, bringing the total security strength to the peak event to 1,088 personnel," he said.

According to him, the presence of the National Police earlier was part of efforts to ensure the safety and comfort of the congregation.

"The National Police arrived early to ensure the situation remains safe. With so many pilgrims from all over Indonesia and even abroad, security readiness is very important," he said.

All of these personnel will later be placed in the main security ring, entry access, parking bags, participant transit points, and areas prone to congestion.

Therefore, the South Lampung Police emphasized their commitment to keep the entire series of Ijtima Ulama-Umara activities safe, orderly, and conducive.

"We expect full support from the community to jointly maintain security, order, and smooth events. Collaboration between the Police and the community is very important so that this activity takes place successfully and comfortably for all," he said.
