JAKARTA - The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said that the first phase of the 2026 Hajj payment can be carried out today and will last until December 23.

"For the payment of the first phase of the hajj fee, it can start today until December 23. Prospective pilgrims can pay it off at deposit recipient banks," said Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mochamad Irfan Yusuf in Bandarlampung, Monday, confiscated by Antara.

He said that prospective pilgrims who have the right to pay in the first stage are regular pilgrims who have been paid off or those who have been paid off but their departures are delayed due to something.

"Then prospective pilgrims who enter the allocation of departure quotas for the current year of the Hajj season, and priority for regular pilgrims with the criteria for the elderly (elderly)," he said.

Then, he continued, the 2nd phase of regular Hajj pilgrims will be paid if there are remaining quotas in each province.

"The remaining filling of this quota is used by prospective pilgrims who during the previous phase of the payment failed, assistants for the elderly pilgrims," he said.

Then, continued Gus Irfan, the remaining quota can also be used for Hajj pilgrims with disabilities and assistants. Hajj pilgrims are separated from mahram or family as well as next-to-leading order pilgrims (restrictions).

"Later on, the list of prospective pilgrims who are entitled to be paid off will be announced through the website of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah www.haji.go.id," he said.

He also appealed to prospective pilgrims who were announced to have the right to pay off to immediately conduct a health check at their respective domicile health centers before making a payment at the Bank/BPS Bipih where they paid the initial deposit.
