JAKARTA - Indonesian Political Houses (RPI) released the results of a national survey highlighting the level of public confidence in the performance of law enforcement agencies (LPH) as well as the public's response to the handling of the National Police in the polemic of the 7th Presidential diploma case, Joko Widodo. The survey results show that the majority of the public gives appreciation and support to the steps taken by the Police.

The Director of RPI, Fernando Emas, in his statement, Wednesday, November 19, explained that the issue was measured to find out the extent to which the public views the performance of law enforcement in cases that had gone viral.

In the question of whether the National Police needs to take legal steps on the alleged defamation by Roy CS.

"38.6 percent of respondents agreed, 29.2 percent agreed, 12.2 percent moderate, and 12.5 percent strongly agreed. Only 1.1 percent disagreed and 6.4 percent chose not to answer," Fernando explained.

Fernando added that public support for the National Police's steps was also reflected in questions about the level of public support for handling the case. A total of 42.5 percent of respondents admitted that they supported 31.2 percent quite supportive, 11 percent moderate, and 7.8 percent very supportive. While 4.1 percent disfavored and 3.4 percent did not answer.

In the same survey, RPI also measured the level of public confidence in the performance of the Prabowo 'Gibran government in law enforcement. The majority of respondents said they were satisfied with the overall performance of the LPH.

As many as 32.9 percent were satisfied, 24.5 percent were moderate, 21.9 percent were quite satisfied, and 6.7 percent were very satisfied. The number of respondents who were dissatisfied was 4.1 percent, while 9.9 percent did not answer.

Among law enforcement agencies, the National Police occupies the highest position in public assessment. The National Police won 20.5 percent, followed by the Attorney General's Office with 19.9 percent, the Supreme Court 18.5 percent, the Judicial Commission 16.5 percent, the KPK 12.9 percent, and the Constitutional Court 9.5 percent. As many as 2.2 percent of respondents did not answer.

In the aspect of special satisfaction with the National Police, the survey results show that the majority of the public provide a positive assessment. As many as 79.8 percent of respondents said they were satisfied with the performance of the Police, 15.7 percent stated that they were moderate or neutral, 2.4 percent were dissatisfied, and 2.1 percent did not answer.

This RPI national survey was conducted on November 9, 2025 using the multistage random sampling method. RPI involved 1,280 respondents from 38 provinces throughout Indonesia, with a margin of error of 2.8 percent at a 95 percent confidence level. Respondents were interviewed face-to-face by trained interviewers.
