16 Thousand Laptops Are Being Distributed To People's School Students, Social Minister: The Teachers Can Also

JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Saifullah Yusuf said the distribution of 16 thousand laptops as a means of supporting education for students at the People's School (SR) is currently underway.

"It has been distributed. All students are sure to get it, there are 16 thousand units," said Social Minister Syaifullah Yusuf during a pilgrimage to the Tangerang Taruna TMP on Wednesday, confiscated by Antara.

Not only to students, continued Social Minister Saifullah, laptops are also given to teachers so that the teaching and learning process at People's Schools can run optimally as expected.

"The teacher also got it. One student is a laptop. Everything is in the process of distributing it," he said.

The Minister of Social Affairs emphasized that People's Schools are here to stop the cycle of intergenerational poverty, expand access to education, ensure quality education for poor and extreme poor families, and ensure that no one is left behind in education.

He emphasized that teachers also receive training for learning management systems and modules to increase cost efficiency and time.

Previously, President Prabowo Subianto emphasized the importance of using technology in the education sector, including in the People's School.

According to him, the use of technology is also important to help remote areas that still lack teachers and educators who need capacity building.
